1. Amusement Park – Vilangan Kunnu

Vilangan Kunnu is a hill spread over 5 acres in Thrissur and is a perfect spot for a picnic. You can reach the place by taxi and trek to the top of the hill. From the top of the hill, you can have a panoramic view of the city. Vilangan Kunnu is called the oxygen jar of the city because the place is covered with green dense forests. There is an amusement park where people can enjoy several rides.

2. Chettuva Backwater

4. Dolours Basilica

This is the largest church in-country and third largest in Asia. The church is a double storied building and is constructed over 25000 sq. feet. Dolours Basilica is also called “Basilica of Our Lady of Dolours”, the place is a church surrounded by the lush green valley.

5. Thrissur Zoo

This zoo is one of the best places to visit in Thrissur. Within the zoo, you can see a wide variety of flora and fauna. 6. Chavakad Beach

7. Famous Temples in Thrissur

Visiting temples is one of the best things you can do while traveling. The temples of Thrissur are constructed with classical architecture and see various paintings of gods. One of the best temples to visit is Paramekkavu Bhagvathy temple that is 1000 years old and is dedicated to goddess Vaishnavi. While you are visiting the temple do not forget to celebrate the Pooram festival, at the festival you can see 15 beautifully dressed elephants.

8. Chalakkudy River
