3. Badrinath Temple

It is one of the most sacred temples in India and is situated near the Alaknanda River. Char Dham is a religious tour of India and Badrinath temple is one of those Char Dham religious places. The temple is situated at a height of 10,000 feet and in the surrounding, you will be seeing snow-capped mountains. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and inside the temple, there is a statue of Lord Vishnu. 

You should avoid visiting Badrinath Temple in the months from November to May. You can reach the temple by cab or helicopter, to reach the place you can hire a helicopter from Dehradun Airport. The helicopter can carry a maximum of 5 people and the charges of helicopter ride vary with travel agencies.    

The entry to the temple is free but if you want to conduct pooja in the temple then you will be charged some bucks. The price of pooja can range from INR500 – INR10.000.

Visiting hours = 4:00AM to 9:00AM & 1:00PM – 4:00PM 

Entry fee = INR 500 onwards for the pooja, Entry is free

4. Mata Murti temple

This temple is one of the most sacred temples in Badrinath and dedicated to the mother of twin brothers. The twin brothers were Lord Badrinath and Nara. On the honor of Goddess, a festival is celebrated in the month of September. It is believed that doing pooja at the temple and worshipping Goddess can free you from suffering.

5. Vyas Gufa in Badrinath

10. Neelkanth

This is a religious peak situated at a height of 6500 meters near the Alaknanda River. The place is famous all over India for its beauty and mountain climbing. For mountain climbing you can contact the Mountaineering Foundation, the committee members will tell you about the charges and requirements. 

The trek to Neelkanth starts from Charanpaduka and through the trekking trail you can see footprints of Lord Vishnu on a rock. The trek lasts about 4-5 hours and you will be climbing about a height of 4000 meters. Do have a medical check-up before trekking also carry thick warm clothes because you will be experiencing extreme cold.
